Stephanie Green

Stephanie Green is a full-time music instructor for in home music studio located in Butler, PA. She has been performing on violin for over 30 years. She grew up in Aberdeen SD, where she started playing violin at age 9 . During this time she became an involved member of the Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association. This is where she gained much of her experience learning bluegrass music, playing in fiddle contests, and becoming a frequent performer on stage at a fairly young age. She also enjoyed playing in school orchestra and during her high school years was accepted in to the South Dakota All-State Orchestra.  

In 2010, she achieved her BA in Music Performance Studies from Slippery Rock University with a concentration in violin. During her studies at Slippery Rock University she also enjoyed working with the Butler Symphony Orchestra, she had started in 2007 and continued after graduation until 2016.

In 2012, she became co-manager and operator of a classical duet ensemble that performs in the greater Pittsburgh region for over the last 12 years. This ensemble performed for hundreds of  weddings, banquets, fundraisers, and other special events throughout the area. 

In 2014, she became a member of Well Strung, a progressive bluegrass band from the Slippery Rock area. In July of 2017, she helped write and produce music for their  newest CD "Around the Sun Again" which can be heard on CD Baby, and has frequently been played on WYEP Radio. 

In 2022, Stephanie along with some of her bluegrass friends from the Pittsburgh Region started a new bluegrass band called Landline Bluegrass. All of their upcoming shows are posted here on her website on the events page. 

Stephanie enjoys playing a variety of genres and styles of music, you may also see her freelancing with different groups/bands throughout her adventures of violin playing.
